Living on the Edge

"Living on the edge", according to Philip, is the situation wherein a [hard]working person barely has enough money to get by during the few days preceding the next payday. Sa tagalog, naghihingalo na ang pitaka mo sa mga araw na malapit nang magsweldo na ulit.

Anyway, shinare ko kay Mama yung term na yan, kaya nagagamit na namin sa pang-araw araw na usapan! :P

Mama: Wala pa rin kayong sweldo?
Me: Bakit, on the very edge ka na ba?
Mama: Malapit na ngang mahulog sa edge!
