Backtrack: FUJITSUrva, April's Birthday Bash, and the Day I Didn't Get a Free Phone

Last Friday, I went to Makati to meet Ms. Gigi Francisco for my "arranged OJT" with Fujitsu. I got there alright, had no misadventure whatsoever since I played it safe: I just walked all the way from EDSA. There's no way I'd get lost that way. :P

Anyway, I met Ma'am Gigi and delivered Mama's "padala" which was panucha. ;) Then I was sent to Ms. Karen Buendia of 6th floor. She interviewed me, and I guess it went okay. I asked about the dress code and she replied, "Well, you can look around. What you see is what you get!" Hehe, kakaiba. But I became quite worried when she said to me, "I hope you can work with minimum supervision. Our schedule is very hectic and I don't need one more person to ask for my assistance all the time." Scarrrrry. :P

Then I went to Glorietta to meet up with Phi. I waited forever near Candy Corner's booth, looking for Pixy Styx in vain. Well, Philip finally arrived and we candy-shopped once again. I must say it's become very addicting. :P One of these days, Poipoi, it's gonna be your turn! Gimme candy! ;)

We walked 'round and 'round waiting for Zippy. Naghihingalo na naman yung paa ko and I was hungry, but Zippy took forever meeting up with us. Nagmala-supervisor pa sa KFC sa paghahanap sa 'min. :P We ate at The Spaghetti Factory and got scared to death with the waiter's "pepper weapon"! Exagge sa kalakihan.

Then we walked, again, passing the time so we could see Ken when he's done with his work. We then MRT'd to Shaw and guess what... walked AGAIN all the way to Ken's building. All because Zippy = kasukdulan ng kakuriputan. Hehehe!

Several wrong turns later, we finally made it to April's hawaiian-inspired birthday bash. Yeah, we showed up in business attire. Agaw-eksena. :P We enjoyed the food then strolled to the park na and drama ay kadiliman. Hehehe. Right, Zippy? "Hindi natin sila blockmates!" :))

Pikchur-pikchur! Nacancel ang charades tournament. We went back and became official allies of Denise. ;) Ate ice cream. Sang "Happy Birthday". Later, everybody else went home, which left me and Phi. At sa wakas, napatunayan din na null and void ang Beetle Ban sakin ni Phi. It was nice, reminded me of Uncle Charlie's red Beetle back when I was still young. I stayed quiet throughout the ride. Si Phi kasi e. :P

Pinamigay na ako ni Mamwah that day so I stayed overnight at Tita B's house. "Tumigil ka, Vannie! 'Wag kang magsinungaling!" I was overwhelmed once again by pillows that night. I felt trapped! :))

I ate breakfast with Tito and Tita B (official na talaga ang names na yan) kasi "Si John ikot pa nang ikot! Tanghali na!"

Si Phi nagdrive-thru pa ng necktie, then we went to PLDT Innolab in Boni. Had a busy, churvaceous, boring, frustrating and SMART-in-your-face day. There were nice speakers, but I think at least one was terrible. Hehe. Si Phi nagalit kay MVP. We lost our energy towards the end of the day (yes, the energy that empowered us to smile every time the camera takes a shot in our direction). Anyway, kalat yata ang utak ko nung araw na yun. Nawala ko yung ID, ballpen at pictures namin ni Ken. But it gave some people (ahem) the opportunity to churva.

I lost a golden opportunity to get a free phone. :'(

Our "supervisor" during the break-out sessions reminded me of Sir Reodica. Yeah, that Cisco old man. Haha!

And I had a strange encounter with a man licking a lollypoppy, trying to ask me if I was interested in taking a C programming test. Of course I said no. I've had enough ugly experiences with C. :P

Of all places, Phi did some serious sleeve-tugging at EDSA. All for...? Hehe. ;)

Angel of God
My guardian dear
To whom God's love
Entrusts me here

Ever this day
Be at my side
To light and guard
To rule and guide

Amen.

Phi and I prayed, and we were answered with a bus to Batangas. Hurray!
