Central Station | Fernanda Montenegro, Vinicius De Oliveira

This is a sad and touching movie that had me teary-eyed at the end. (If we weren't watching it for Philo class, I might have really cried.) Yes, the story might be common, but the way it is told, the way it was brought to life by the characters, and the way it moves you as you watch it... is something rare and beautiful.

If I fell in love with a horse named Seabiscuit just recently, I now fall in love with Josue, Dora, and their story. (I love Josue's eyes!) They bicker, they shoplift, they lie. They each fought their own personal battles. But somewhere along the way they discover that they are allies. More than that, they became each other's newfound family.

Anyhow, I'll write my Com111 final paper on this movie. Hope I still remember all the details when I predictably cram for it two weeks from now. :P

I instantly fell in-love with the movie. I felt like crying, but I had to hold back my emotions. Can't let my batchmates see the mushy side of me, LOL. I'm such a sucker for drama.
